Reestore are an eco-friendly company that takes everyday waste products and turns them into functional pieces of furniture and accessories. The company is backed by Deborah Meaden and Theo Paphitis from the BBC’s Dragons Den.

The Brief

Red House Global were approached by Max McMurdo of Reestore to source a 100% fully recycled polypropylene (plastic) bin. Max was very concerned with working conditions and ethics of factories in China, and we were also aware of Max’s and the Dragons very particular eye for quality and detail.

The Solution

Red House Global sourced factories that could produce ‘Ben the Bin’ in 100% recycled plastic, something that cannot be done in Europe. We then selected the most suitable manufacturer for producing this product. Samples were supplied, followed by a site visit with Max to inspect the bins. He was very pleased with the prototypes and signed off the order on his first visit. Max was also able to see first hand the factory and staffing conditions and was delighted with what he saw.

The Result

We delivered the first 7,000’Ben the Bins’ in a 20ft container 8 weeks after we were approached by Reestore. These bins are now selling in various retail stores including Rymans.
